Call for Papers

JURSE brings together researchers, practitioners and students on all aspects of urban remote sensing. JURSE emphasizes the crucial role of Earth Observation and other geospatial data in building sustainable and resilient cities.

JURSE welcomes submissions on all topics related to urban remote sensing. Submissions can be made to one of the general tracks, as well as to one of 17 special sessions.

GENERAL TRACKS

  • Specific sensor systems (e.g. drones)
  • Specific methods (e.g. deep learning)
  • Specific application domains (e.g. urban planning)
  • Specific focus areas (e.g. Global South)

SPECIAL TOPICS

INSTRUCTIONS

Prospective authors are invited to contribute by submitting a short paper in English of no more than 4 pages double-column, including illustrations, results and references. The accepted papers will receive a DOI and will be included in the JURSE 2027 Proceedings published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. IEEE policy requires that all accepted papers must be checked for plagiarism and all authors of accepted papers must transfer copyright to IEEE for publishing them. The deadline for submission is 17 November 2026. The deadline for camera-ready papers is 16 March 2027.
